Civil Aviation Ordinance (Chapter 448G - effective 1st June 2022)

Under the order, Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) are regulated under a risk based approach

1) Weight of the SUA

2) Operational Risk

If a person commits and offence the SUA Order, the person is liable on conviction on indictment to a fine at level 6 or 100,000hkd and imprisonment for two years

When Operating:

Determine boundaries, altitude, routes, obstacles

Proximity of other aircraft

Check radio interference

Check weather conditions and in force signals

Pre-flight checks

Permission of property owner

Battery Management

Restricted flying zones

Visual Line of Sight (VLOS)
